Lynagh and Lambert top, earn trip to The Open

Phil Lynagh and Martin Lambert with a net score of 63 won the Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge Grand Finale at the Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai.

In second place with a net 71 were Penti Tahvanainen and Stephen Jones and third on 71 were Nadir MirMohammadi and Ayaz Afridi.

As the winning teams of all challenges came face to face at the Grand Finale, Phil Lynagh and Martin Lambert walked away as the lucky winners with a Grand Prize — a trip to the British Open Championship 2012.

During the course of the tournament Eric Link, Maura Duggan, Paul Bryne and Colin McGlone all participated and won in ‘The Longest Drive and the Nearest Pin’ sponsored by ECCO.

The Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge, managed by Troon Golf thanked their main sponsors, Avis Rent a Car and ABB, as well as co-sponsors Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas, ECCO and Crystal Gallery in addition to media sponsors Khaleej Times and Golf Digest.

With the sponsor’s continuous support the Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge has been able to grow by reaching teams from all over the Middle East as well as regionally expanding by hosting additional qualifying rounds in addition to the the inclusion of the Grand Prize, a trip to the British Open Championship 2012.

The sponsor’s assistance has been imperative to the success of the 2011-2012 Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge.
