Arianne Hartono is no Serena Williams, but she is quite good at it — good enough to win three ITF tournaments
It was a good toss to win for Sindhi Kings as their batsmen dominated right from the outset. Despite an early setback when Nilesh Shewakramani departed without opening his account, there was no looking back for Chirag Bhutra, Deep Kundwani, Rahul Chhatwani and Ajay Sapru.
The four batsmen put the Rockstars attack to the sword hitting them to all corners of the ground. First Deep and Rahul struck a fine partnership, Deep hitting five boundaries in his unbeaten 37 off 30 balls. Rahul kept pace with him with an unbeaten 28.
Ajay and Chirag joined in the party to pile on the agony for the Rockstars’ bowlers.
Chirag took centre stage slamming the bowlers for four fours and a six. His unbeaten 30-ball 42 propelled Sindhi Kings to a mammoth 181 for 4 as Ajay played second fiddle with a run-a-ball unbeaten 29.
Rockstars were rocked onto the back foot early in their innings with both openers Manish Hirani and Roshan Sajnani falling prey to the guile of Vishal Chhabria.
However, Rohit Behal (37), Akash Sapru (39), Ajay Sajnani (21) and Deepak Malani (21) kept Rockstars in the hunt with some gritty partnerships.
But the target looked a bit too steep and in their bid to accelerate they kept losing wickets. In the end Rockstars fell short by 21 runs.
Both teams had lost their opening fixtures.
The next match will be played between Chawla Sindhi Royals and Vintage Victorious Sindhis on Sunday, October 21.
