Jimenez eligible to play for Al Ahli in the AFC Champions League

The AFC has officially registered Al Ahli’s Palestinian player Luiz Jimenez in the shortlist of Al Ahli FC to take part in the AFC Champions League as Asian player, the UAEFA confirmed on Tuesday.

The registration section at the UAEFA has received on Tuesday the registration of the former Chilean player and forwarded the same to the continental football governing body for approval.

The AFC has already urged the FA to forward the required documents evidencing that Jimenez has acquired the Palestinian nationality for more than a year to be eligible to take part in the AFC competitions.
