Jenny and team clinch Christmas Scramble golf
102 ladies form the ladies section of the Emirates golf club competed in the Ladies Christmas Scramble on the Majlis course; this competition is one of the biggest in the calendar and much sought after by the Ladies section.
First prize was hard won by the team of Jenny Ayres, Rosemary Turlik, Catherine Clark and Gillian Black. The four lady team scored 7 birdies all together to claim victory with an excellent net score of 60.9.
Runner up position was claimed by the four lady team of Jane Jones, Movana Sadek, Judi Ashcroft and Mimi Hosking. They scored four birdies through the round achieving the wonderful net score of 61.7.
Third place in close contention was the team of Lynne Dickinson, Martha Wong, Maema Maya and Najla Bertette. The Four lady team scored 6 birdies throughout the full round with the result of net score 61.9. In other prizes, most golf went to the team of Chris Purchase, Lorraine Main, Caroline Granger and Steva Fornazaric with the score of 74.7.
The prize for best dressed went to the team of Lady Captain Barbara Head, Glynis Hendry, Carolyn Thompson and Stephanie Wilson with the theme of Santa and his Rain Deer.
