Indian High School, Dubai defeated Millennium School, Dubai 47-35 in the under 19 inter school division of the Berry Hills 9th Indian Basketball Society League (IBSL).

The teams were tied 20-20 at half time. Indian High surged ahead 16-7 in the third quarter and never looked back. Ahraz Asad and Bryan Crasta excelled with 17 points each for Indian High. Alex netted 11 and Atif scored 10 for Millennium.

NIMS, Dubai and DPS, Dubai registered upset victories against DPS, Sharjah and NIMS, Sharjah respectively in the league round matches.

NIMS, Dubai scored 64 against DPS, Sharjah’s 61. NIMS,D led 37-31 at half time. Akshay Suresh top scored for NIMS with 29 while Aadit scored 19 for DPS, Sharjah.

NIMS, Sharjah led 18-10 in the first quarter and were leading 29-27 at half-time. DPS, Dubai outscored NIMS 14-1 in the third quarter and were leading 41-30 after the end of the third quarter.

NIMS powered in with a 19-11 readout in the last quarter which was not enough to deny victory for DPS, Dubai. Hanan Nisar top scored for DPS, Dubai with 16 points followed by Ishan Shoukath 15 and Sharan Sakarla 13. Umair Khan posted 19 points and Rahul Raju netted 12 points for NIMS.

Model School, Abu Dhabi outscored Emirates National School, Sharjah 52-33 and kept their semi-finals hope alive. Model led 23-10 at half time. Jasir top scored for Model with 21 and Jeemon netted 18 for ENS. In the under 13 girls division Our Own English High School, Dubai defeated DPS, Dubai 31-13 and in the under 13 boys section, DPS, Dubai defeated DPS, Sharjah 35-29 and Our Own High School, Al Warqa’a beat NIMS, Sharjah 40-19.
