This event aims to honour and showcase the remarkable achievements of women and provide an inspiring platform for empowerment and growth
The tournament, which kicks off with a 12.30pm shot gun start, will follow the two-ball, better-ball format. The top three in each of the two divisions will be presented with attractive crystal trophies.
“Despite the rising mercury, members of the society have responded enthusiastically to the event which is just great,” said KJ Singh, chairman of the Indian Golfers Society (IGS). “This tournament also gives us an opportunity to thank all players and sponsors for their support during the season,” he added.
During the 2011-2012 season, the society organised four tournaments at different courses in Dubai, and each event was fully subscribed, reflecting on the sense of camaraderie among the IGS members.
“We are grateful to our loyal sponsors Chivas, AGMC, Samira Habitat and Kohinoor Rice for contributing to the success of our events,” KJ Singh said.
Later this month a 14-member contingent of the IGS will be travelling to Scotland for a week-long tour to play on different courses overflowing with a wealth of history and tradition. The tour is supported by Chivas.
