Ibrahim is now in the running to receive one of the prizes at the closing ceremony where dignitaries from sponsors Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank among others as well as the UAEFA and organisers Mediopro Middle East and Reem Investments will be in attendance on Tuesday. The prize giving ceremony begins at 9pm at The Dome@Rawdhat.

The match winning performance for Tche Tche saw them run to a 14-4 win over ‘Man City’ to cement 4th place in the league.

With minutes left on the clock City sent their goalkeeper and captain, Fahad Al Tamimi, up front and he received plenty of congratulations when he bagged the last goal of the game and their season.

Al Noor Hospital ended on a high despite being fourth from bottom, by beating relegation companions Shangri-la 10-5. Fadi Wannous, the only player with a realistic opportunity of catching Mohannad Ibrahim in the Golden Boot, scored half of Al Noor’s goals.

He will need to go one better than that when they play a re-arranged fixture with ADIA to knock Mr Ibrahim off his perch. Abu Dhabi Thistle managed to withstand a lot of late pressure from set pieces to overcome Smart Solutions 3-2.

Faisal Haffaf got two with Ryadh Khadri adding the other after they fell behind to a well taken freekick.

Stand-out player of Division 2 Nour Eldin was up to his old tricks again adding 3 more goals to his seasons tally to make it 47 for the campaign whilst playing in the colours of National Marine Dredging Company. A 5-3 victory over Daman means they completed the season with a 100 per cent record and are the ‘invincibles’ of Abu Dhabi. Daman were left disappointed though as they required a win to finish in second place.
