The fourth annual Scottish Highland Games hosted by Heriot-Watt University Dubai campus took place marking exemplary performance by young sportspeople from various universities that participated in multiple sports competitions across three days.

Highland Games are events held throughout the year in Scotland as a way of celebrating Scottish and Celtic culture and heritage. The regionalised version of this event was launched in the UAE by Heriot-Watt University Dubai campus to encourage the sports culture among universities in the country.

A highly challenging set of qualifying rounds in each category led to the final matches. In girls volleyball Manipal swept Wollongong 15-13 and Wollongong beat Heriot-Watt Dubai in boys volleyball 2-1. Wollongong beat Heriot-Watt Dubai 21-12 in girls basketball and Middlesex University Dubai beat Canadian University Dubai 29-20 in boys basketball to claim the title. In table tennis for girls BITS Pilani defeated Manipal University with 2-1 and in finals for boys BITS secured the title defeating Middlesex Dubai 2-1. Canadian University Dubai beat Middlesex University 3-2 in football and Canadian University Dubai defeated Heriot-Watt 3-2 in the fun football category.

BITS swept the badminton title in both singles and doubles for boys against Heriot-Watt University Dubai scoring 2-1 and 2-0 victories.
