There was no shortage of participants as over 500 employees and executives from UAE’s biggest companies challenged themselves and industry competitors, a media communiqué from the organisers said.

Starting the day with a brain challenge, the teams were in for some surprises as each labour had bonus elements to help build and strengthen team bonds.

It was a fight to the finish at the end of the day with LUKOIL’s ‘Team Tonic’, taking 1st place and claiming the trophy. It was a close race for second and third place with Biz-events falling short by only three points behind LUKOIL’s second team entry

The Magnificent 7’ who took second place. There were plenty of celebrations as the night went on, as prizes were handed out for other categories such as the Smartest team, Coolest team, and Team Fair play. Executive management was also recognised as they competed in rounds of petanque, or English bowls to earn their teams extra points.

Reebok’s executive management represented the company well, as they took first place in petanque edging out Duplays in the final round.

For children age 7 and up, Indigo Entertainment helped organise the Hercules Kids Obstacles Race where they could test out some of the labours their parents were completing.

Reebok’s Junior Life Fitness was in attendance to help run a children’s fitness area geared to getting kids active and building lifelong fitness skills.

As teams filed out of Festival City, they were already strategising for next year, the stage being set for future Hercules Trophies in the UAE.
