Abu Dhabi — UAE Rotax Max Challenge, Rounds 5 & 6 of the UAE Rotax Max Challenge at Al Ain Raceway on last weekend saw an impressive performance from one of the most promising young drivers at Daman Speed Academy — Hamda Khaled Al Qubaisi, 12 years old, who became the first Emirati girl to earn a trophy in the UAE Rotax Max Challenge.
Hamda came back from seventh place to finish third in round five on Friday. In round six on Saturday the random draw put Hamda in the last place — however, despite this she followed her coaches’ advice and repeated her strong performance making an impressive comeback to finish in third place again.
This remarkable display against tough competition is a testament to Hamda’s bright future in the Academy and Motorsports, she is the first female student in Daman Speed Academy to win trophies in UAE Rotax Max Challenge.
Hamda commented: “I’m very happy with my performance and it’s great to be on the podium and win a trophy! I will try my best to repeat his achievement.”
