Ganju wins Midweek Medal
SHARJAH - Vijay Ganju proved too hot in the Centro Sharjah by Rotana Midweek Medal as he recorded a two under net 34 to claim victory in the competition.
Nothing worse than a gross bogey enabled him to keep a steady scorecard — throwing in three gross pars the 16 handicapper did just enough to record his first win at Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club, according to a Press release.
Finishing one shot adrift on net 35 were Korean golfer BC Jun and Danish Ove Pedersen. As they both were competing in different division and walked away with the leading scores in their sectors. Runners-up in the two divisions were Sami Siddique and Anil Sukhia who finished with a net 36 and 37 respectively.
All five winners received pro shop vouchers to be spent at Sharjah. Ganju who won overall and Jun and Pedersen who won their divisions also walked away with luxury vouchers courtesy of Centro Sharjah.
