Family Tennis Day a big hit
Dubai Sports Council arranged ‘Family Tennis Day’ at the pitch of Higher College of Technology with massive social participation of various ages and multi-nationalities, a press release said.
The ‘Family Tennis Day’ included several competitions and training sessions along with accompanying entertaining activities. The arrangement of ‘Family Tennis Day’ is part of DSC’s strategic plan aiming to boost and popularize the practice of various individual and team sports.
It was also held to encourage more and more people to practise and play the game of tennis and motivate juniors to join training sessions and acquire basic skills of the game under supervision of specialised coaches. The event was a unique opportunity for families’ members to enhance common relations as they got a chance to get engaged to sport in a healthy atmosphere. After the end of the event, respective bodies of DSC awarded cups and medals to the male and female winners.
