Dubai outplay Sharjah
Dubai Sports Club cruised to a valuable 3-0 home victory over hapless Sharjah in the 19th round of the Pro-League at Al Aweer Stadium here on Friday evening.
Aboubaker Camara, Hassan Mohammed and Abbas Atwa struck for Dubai in the 19th, 38 and 90th minutes respectively in the almost one-sided game.
With this result, Dubai have increased their tally to 14 points to level with Emirates in the 10th and 11th positions as Sharjah settled at the bottom of the list with ten points and face a real threat of relegation to the lower division with only three rounds remaining of the competition.
In another clash, Al Ahli claimed full points with a narrow 1-0 away win over hosts Ajman at Rashid bin Saeed Stadium in Ajman. Ajman defender scored the solitary goal of the match by mistake in own goal in the 55th minute of the fast-paced clash. Both teams have settled in the middle of the table without real chances to finish in the first four or a threat of relegation to the First Division.
