Desert Cubs opens cricket nets at Deira Int’l school

Desert Cubs Cricket Academy opened three state-of-the-art cricket nets at the Deira International School, Al Baddia, Festival City, according to a Press release.

This isCubs’third fully fledged cricket training center other than the ones at Sharjah English School and Dubai College.

This center will is equipped with three nets (two astro and one fully cement) with facilities such as bowling machines, modern fielding drill equipments and indoor facilities for video analysis and a lush green grass ground for junior games, the release added.

Chief guests for the occasion were, Mazhar Khan, administrator for ECB, Mohammed Lokandwala, secretory Dubai Cricket Council, Syed Wajid, head of finance at the Deira International School and Ashley Robbins, head PE at DIS.

“Such type of facilities will bring out the best from the kids and also it will help UAE cricket to find complete and competitive players when they mature enough to attend to junior/senior cricketing programmes,” said.
