Danube Lions and Spartanz win titles

Insportz Club hosted the one-day Insportz Indoor Cricket Tournament on Friday, a Press release said.

The teams were split into the professional and amateur divisions. In the professional division, Danube Lions beat Knight Riders in the main finals to emerge champions, while Sky Bridge Freight Solutions claimed third spot in the plate finals.

In the amateur division, Spartanz were victors after being given a tough challenge by Magic 8.

In the finals of the professional division, Knight Riders batted first to score only 10, after a brilliant display of bowling and fielding from Danube Lions. In reply, Danube Lions scored 52 and won the match, with Mendis making 13.

In the final of the amateur division, Spartanz set a target of 52. In the second innings, Spartanz restricted Magic 8 to only 31 runs with some impressive bowling by Moideen, who claimed three wickets.

Best Batsman: Faizan (Sky Bridge Freight Solutions), 27 runs

Player of the Tournament: Kamal (Danube Lions), 24 runs, 5 wickets

Man of the Match (Main Final): Saqib (Danube Lions), 12 runs, 4 wickets

Man of the Match (Plate Final): Ali (Sky Bridge Freight Solutions), 11 runs, 2 wickets

Amateur Division:

Best Bowler: Arun Raj (Spartanz), 7 wickets

Best Batsman: Girish (Spartanz), 41 runs

Player of the Tournament: Mithul (Magic 8), 30 runs, 7 wickets
