Burt couple hog the limelight in Abu Dhabi
Catherine and Ian Burt proved too strong for their rival couples in the Emirates Palace Mixed Open competition at Abu Dhabi Golf Club.

After a closely fought contest, the husband and wife pairing claimed first place by just one point with a score of 44 in the Betterball Stableford competition.
Second and third place could only be decided by virtue of a count-back, with Tammy and David De Angelo taking second place, edging out Anette Rigo and Jean Pierre Billgren to third.
In the day’s other competitions, Sung Jin Hwang won the Men’s ‘Nearest the Pin’ contest while Miho Uchida won the women’s. Finally, in the Longest Drive contest, Livio Van Hellenberg Hubar and Lina Tyson took the honours.
A total of 39 pairs took to the National Course for the competition which offered a selection of fantastic Emirates Palace prizes.
