After his all-Emirati line-up had edged past record Austrian champions Rapid Vienna on Monday night, new coach Paulo Bonamigo fielded his first choice XI in the second friendly against Austrian Bundesliga side SC Wiener Neustadt on Tuesday night.

The result was a 3-0 victory for the two-time President’s Cup champions.

Watched by 3000 spectators at the Stadion Wiener Neustadt, Al Jazira were quite to get into a rhythm and went ahead in the 15th minute through their talisman Ricardo Oliveira. Oliveira fired in from just outside the box past a diving goalkeeper.

The Abu Dhabi giants kept a tight leash on the proceedings despite Wiener Neustadt coming up with a chance to draw level. Olympic team goalkeeper Ali Khasief did well to keep it out.
