Standard life appoints senior economist

DUBAI - Global investment manager, Standard Life Investments has enhanced its multi asset capability with a new appointment to its global strategy team.

Jeremy Lawson joins the company as senior international economist having previously held the role of director, senior US economist at BNP Paribas in New York.

Lawson will report to Andrew Milligan, head of global strategy at Standard Life Investments, and will be responsible for economic forecasting, ideas generation for multi asset investing and detailed analysis to support the house view.

Euan Munro, head of multi asset investing and fixed income, said: “Jeremy is an experienced economist with a strong track record. He brings a wealth of experience in international markets including time working at BNP Paribas, New York, the Reserve Bank of Australia, the OECD in Paris and the Institute for International Finance in Washington.”
