The Middle East’s first solar public charging station partnered with the eighth edition of Art Dubai, the leading international art fair in the Middle East and South Asia, which took place from March 19 to March 22 at Madinat Jumeirah.
Spearheaded by 174 Solar, a Dubai-based company focusing on sustainable-centricinitiatives, and in collaboration with Goumbook, a leading green-information online platform, Street Charge Middle East aims to bring accessible solar power to urban communities.Merging the latest in solar technology and modern product design, the drop-in solutionstations provided all attendees an easy way to harness the sun’s energy and charge theirmobile devices.
Coinciding and resonating with the initiatives of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, latestSmart City initiatives aiming to improve overall quality of life in Dubai, Street Chargenaturally supports the government’s strategic projects, ahead of Expo 2020 and beyond.

Two charging stations were installed throughout Art Dubai with a wide range of visitors, both local and international, making use of the new offering.
