Pak firms urged to boost safety products exports

Better coordination and close cooperation between the business houses and governmental trade institutions could enhance Pakistan’s exports manifolds, according to a senior diplomat.

Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai Javed Jalil Khattak, who visited Pakistani stalls at Intersec exhibition, said Pakistani businesses should tap the potential in security and safety products. He appreciated the quality of Pakistani health and safety work gears and said that a number of Pakistani firms are manufacturing security and safety products for foreign brands. “Keeping in view the high international demand of these products, businesses could tap the potential through promotion of Pakistani brands,” he said.

About 15 major Pakistani manufacturing companies of safety and health work gears like industrial, cotton and leather safety gloves, tactical gloves, welding gloves, driving gloves, protective coveralls, safety garments, safety equipment’s, cyber security related software design and deployment are participating in the exhibition at Dubai World Trade Centre.

Pakistani exhibitors informed the consul general that a number of international customers have expressed their keen interest in their products and have placed purchase orders.
