Abu Dhabi — Nimr Automotive, a UAE-based defence vehicle manufacturer and part of Emirates Defence Industries Company, has announced the launch of a new vehicle line-up for 2015 at the International Defence Exhibition and Conference 2015.
Nimr has also revealed that all vehicles are to be built at a new state-of-the-art production facility, which will be located at Tawazun Industrial Park in Abu Dhabi.
Nimr’s new line-up includes nine softskin and armoured vehicles incorporating new systems and enhanced performance. These include the Hafeet Gun Truck, the Ajban 440, the Hafeet 640 Talon, the Hafeet armoured personnel carrier equipped with battle management system, the Ajban special operations vehicle, the Hafeet 620 Shelter, the Hafeet armoured personnel carrier equipped with remote weapons station, the Ajban internal security vehicle and the Ajban 440A.
Two new introductions at the Idex have already proven popular with exhibition visitors. The Hafeet Gun Truck is a 6x6 prototype that has been upgraded so that its multi-role platform incorporates BAE 30mm Tactical Remote Turret. The Ajban 440 — Nimr’s latest softskin cabin on a 4x4 multi-role chassis — incorporating all the latest engineering developments such as a new electrical architecture and power management system, new dashboard, seats, interior trim, wheels and cabin design.
