The Jumeirah Group, the Dubai-based luxury hospitality company and a member of Dubai Holding, announced that — following the decision of Derek Picot, the current general manager of Jumeirah Carlton Tower and regional vice-president for Europe, to leave the company — it has appointed Doris Greif as regional vice-president for Europe as well as general manager of Jumeirah Frankfurt.
Greif moves from her current position as general manager ofJumeirah at Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi, which will be assumed by current hotel manager Stefan Fuchs.
Greif, a German national, first joined Jumeirah in 1999 and since then has successfully undertaken a number of senior roles in the company. Fuchs, also a German, first joined Jumeirah in 2006, working at Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai for three years as director of food and beverage.
