Just Falafel opens its first store in Toronto
As the North American expansion of Just Falafel gains pace, its first Canadian restaurant recently opened its doors on Bay Street in Toronto.
The new restaurant will be located in the very heart of downtown, parallel to the famous Yonge Street. It is one of the of most densely built-up areas of Toronto, with a thriving commercial and residential centre that has up to 100,000 commuters passing through it every day, making it an ideal location for Just Falafel’s debut to the Canadian market.
The restaurant chain that prides itself on serving good food fast, is at the beginning of an exciting food journey, bringing its authentically Mediterranean cuisine to the international stage.
Whilst Just Falafel is remaining true to its roots with its authentic, inspired eating, with Mediterranean Street Food at the heart of its menu, it is also including a very Canadian speciality ‘Poutine’. This much loved national dish, comprising of crispy french fries, topped with flavourful gravy and fresh cheese curds, is, like the falafel, a food held very dear to the hearts of its consumers. Radi Annab, who heads Bay Tree Foods, the Just Falafel’s master franchisee for the Greater Toronto Area, said: “I’m looking forward to welcoming new regulars to the restaurant and quickly becoming a popular spot for our authentic Mediterranean food that prides itself on being a locally sourced, hand-made cuisine that appeals to all segments of the community. We hope to benefit the large community that now lives downtown due to the housing boom, offering them a healthy and tasty meal.“
