Flights to both cities will operate twice a week, with Osh beginning on 24 April 2013 and Dushanbe one week later on 30 April 2013.

flydubai’s CEO, Ghaith Al Ghaith, said: “With the addition of these two new routes we now have a network of 20 destinations across the CIS which is a tremendous achievement. We marked our entry to the Kyrgyz market back in February 2012 with flights to the capital, Bishkek, and through adding Osh and Dushanbe we are able to link even more underserved destinations to our ever growing network.”

The past 12 months have seen overall air traffic between Dubai and Bishkek grow by 157%. The 3,000-year-old city of Osh, is home to the largest outdoor market in Central Asia and for the first time will have direct air links to Dubai.

Meanwhile, thanks to its widespread mountainous terrain, Tajikistan remains a largely untouched country with an emphasis on outdoor activities and a rich cultural history.

Flights to Osh will operate twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 24 April 2013. Flight FZ761 is scheduled to depart Dubai Terminal 2 at 2215hrs, arriving in Osh at 0400hrs local time. The return flight, FZ762, leaves Osh on Thursdays and Sundays at 0530hrs, landing in Dubai at 0735hrs local time.

Flights to Dushanbe will operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays from 30 April 2013. Flight FZ777 is scheduled to depart Dubai Terminal 2 at 2205hrs, arriving at Dushanbe airport at 0230hrs local time. The return flight, FZ778, leaves Dushanbe on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 0450hrs, landing in Dubai at 0730hrs local time.

Fares include 20kg checked baggage plus one piece of hand luggage weighing up to 7kg and one small laptop bag or handbag. A seat with extra legroom costs AED100. Once on board, passengers can choose from a range of optional extras, including in-flight entertainment packages priced from AED 10 or select from the varied menu of refreshments and Duty Free items.
