Experts Discuss UAE Federal Arbitration Law
DUBAI - Dubai International Arbitration Center (DIAC) at Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry organised an open dialogue and roundtable discussion on the implementation of the proposed UAE Federal Arbitration Law on Sunday.
Held on the sidelines of the “12 IBA Arbitration Day” hosted in Dubai by Dubai International Financial Center, the roundtable was attended Nizar Sardast, Advisor, Dubai Chamber, Dr Hussam Talhuni, Executive Director, DIAC, Board of Trustees of DIAC, members of DIAC, members of the national committee studying the UAE Federal Arbitration Law and international arbitrators attending the IBA event including Martin Hunter, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of DIAC, Essam Al Tamimi, Director of Al Tamimi Legal Consultancy and member of the Executive Committee of DIAC, arbitrators, lawyers, academics and decision makers in addition to managers and legal advisers.
The Chamber’s and DIAC’s organisation of the roundtable was in line with Dubai Chamber’s mission that aims at protecting the interests of Dubai business community and helping widen the scope of its members’ businesses with their international partners according to the
set principles and procedures of international arbitration.
