Dubai FDI ties up with Musthafa & Almana

DUBAI — Dubai FDI, the foreign investment office in the Department of Economic Development, or DED, has appointed advocates and consultants Musthafa & Almana as its legal representatives and advisors in India.

Dubai FDI targets to attract, grow and retain foreign direct investment (FDI) into Dubai, while also enhancing the overall investment landscape. The core objective is to develop and sustain a competitive investment environment to support, stimulate and grow key economic sectors, job creation and community support in line with the Dubai Strategic Plan, eventually enabling Dubai to realise its vision of being a preferred investment destination globally.

India is a major focal point of our strategy and Dubai since long has been a preferred destination for Indian investors,” said Fahad Al Gergawi, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai FDI

“We expect remarkable FDI outcomes from India in 2013, and Musthafa & Almana being an international law firm with their strong presence in India as well as the UAE, was a good choice to represent us,” added Al Gergawi.

The partnership will guide new investors through various stages of the investment process, including advising them on the business location, the legal structure that best fits their needs as well as linking them to government and non-government bodies as required.

Additionally, the team will offer ongoing support for the growth and expansion of companies once they set up in Dubai and help voice investor concerns.

As a launch initiative of the partnership, Musthafa & Almana will conduct a nationwide legal road show in India namely ‘Destination Dubai — Legal Route for Investments to Dubai.’ The inaugural event will be held in the national capital New Delhi in March 2013 followed by Mumbai, Bangaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.

Musthafa & Almana has their offices in India, the UAE and the UK and also has a separate entity in Dubai providing FDI consultancy and professional services to investors round the globe.
