Dubai: The strategy and development sector at the office of Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has received ISO 9001: 2008 certification from Lloyd’s Register, the British company specialised in the assessment of global institutions and certification in accordance with the standards of ISO.
The company auditors reviewed the terms and requirements for certification against the quality management system in the strategy and development sector at the office of the Crown Prince and confirmed its commitment to implement the highest quality standards.
Saif bin Markhan Al Ketbi, Director General of the Office of the Crown Prince of Dubai, received the ISO certificate from Brian Baxter, Operations General Manager at Lloyd’s Register, UAE, in the presence of Dr Khalid Mohammed Al Zahed, CEO of Strategy and Development Sector and Salem Abdulla Batarfi, Director of Development and Performance Department of the Crown Prince’s office.
Saif Al Ketbi, after receiving the certificate, said, “The ISO 9001: 2008 certificate is just a start of our journey towards excellence and continuous improvement of our work. This international recognition put more responsibilities on our shoulders which requires us to exert additional efforts to achieve the vision of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, for Dubai government excellence.
“This achievement has come in line with the directives of Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate, on the necessity of accelerating our steps in accordance with the latest international developments in the field of smart government, in order to achieve the goals of our nation and happiness of the people as wished by our wise leadership,” Al Ketbi added.
Al Ketbi also expressed his happiness and gratitude to the team for their dedication and great efforts to apply the best international practices in the sector and wished them more success and achievements in the days to come.
