The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced the launch of the Ukrainian Business Council, which has become the 49th council operating under its umbrella.
The objective behind the establishment of the new council is to promote economic relations between Dubai and Ukraine.
The council was officially inaugurated recently during the first general assembly held at the Dubai Chamber headquarters with opening remarks by Atiq Juma Nasib, senior vice-president of the commercial services sector at the Dubai Chamber, and Yuriy Polurez, Ukrainian Ambassador to the UAE. The council's chairman is Denys Bandura.
The 20 founding members of the Ukrainian Business Council came together to consolidate their position in Dubai and the UAE and, through the council, showcase the best products and services on offer from Ukraine.
The council also seeks to promote Ukrainian businesses operating in Dubai and encourage Dubai businesses to expand in the Ukrainian market.
