DSO set to host innovation festival

Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), the regulatory body for Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), has announced the agenda of its Innovation Festival 2015 that will be organised at its premises as part of the UAE Innovation Week initiative announced by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The DSO Innovation Festival 2015 will be open to the general public. It will aim at educating the community about the true meaning of innovation and engaging them through thought sessions and creative activities.
Dr Mohammed Alzarooni, vice-chairman and CEO of DSOA, said: "With the year 2015 being celebrated as the year of innovation, the UAE Innovation Week is designed to commemorate this year in the nation's innovation history. At DSO, we are keen to reiterate our commitment to supporting creative and unique ideas from entrepreneurs and young talents. We are confident their ideas and creations will directly contribute to the innovative technological advancement of the UAE."
The DSO Innovation Festival will feature seminars and workshops targeting children to provide them with engaging methods to enrich their knowledge on design thinking, robotics, electronics and programming.
