The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) has marked a significant milestone in its mission to install and launch substations, with the commissioning of a Dh118 million substation at the Dubai Airport Free Zone this month. The station, which is 132/11kV, has a capacity of 150MVA, and was built at a cost of Dh86 million. The cost also includes extending ground cables that link the station network, at Dh32 million, to meet the growing demand for electricity.
