“The tendering process has been set in motion,” Wahat Hili Mall manager Mohamad El Sabawi said.

He expected construction work to commence before the end of the third quarter of this year.

Announcements will be made to keep tenants, clients and the community in the loop with the anticipated launch scheduled for the first quarter of 2013. “We are currently under the process of awarding a contractor,” El Sabawi added.

He said every effort has gone into providing easy access, satisfaction and convenience; evident in that Wahat Hili Mall is the first mixed-use development upon entering Al Ain from Dubai as well as the first for visitors from Buraimi, Oman.

The complex is strategically positioned in Hili district neighbouring the largest residential complex in Al Ain, and is the closest mall to the tourist district that includes Hili Fun City and Hili Archaeological Park. Unfolding across 6.5 hectares of prime real estate, with a gross leasable area of over 30,000 square metres, the three-storey Wahat Hili Mall will house 160 retail outlets with an established range of services.

Some of the brands already confirmed at Wahat Hili Mall include: Géant Hypermarket and Options Furniture as anchor tenants; Zyng Asian Grill, The Body Shop, Grand Optics, Edible Arrangements, Al Ansari Exchange, Axiom Telecom, Subway, Charley’s Grilled Subs and Bin Sina Pharmacy, among others. In addition, the Mall will also house the headquarters of the National Bank of Abu Dhabi in Al Ain.

.The modern day retail development will become a hub for residents in surrounding communities with its comprehensive mix of retail outlets, which include shopping, dining, entertainment and a range of services to ensure, above all, convenience for every visitor.

Built in conjunction with Hili Rayhaan Hotel run by Rotana, the project is poised to attract a bulk of all visitors to the garden city.
