In line with its ongoing support and commitment towards Emiratisation in the banking sector, Commercial Bank International, or CBI, actively participated in the 16th edition of the National Career Exhibition in Sharjah, which concluded on Friday.
CBI’s participation showcases its active interest in utilising the career fair opportunity as a platform to attract, meet with, and interview young Emirati graduates, namely holders of Bachelor degrees, higher diplomas, and banking diplomas and to introduce young candidates to its various career development and sponsorship programmes.
As a token of appreciation of CBI’s Emiratisation efforts, Shaikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi presented the UAE National HR Development Award in the banking sector for Emiratis in senior management posts to Aliya Al Mulla and Abdul Qader bin Hendi, both holders of senior executive posts at CBI.
Zainab Noureldini, CBI’s Head of Human Resources, said: “The objective of our participation in Sharjah Career Fair is to attract talented UAE nationals looking for a challenging and stimulating career in banking. Due to our growth plans this year, we are looking to fill in positions across different sectors of the bank, such as retail and corporate banking, risk management, SME, call center, operations and IT.”
“We want to help students to find out more about their banking with CBI. We certainly put a lot of effort in attracting and retaining the most talented and promising UAE national candidates as part of our Emiratisation plan to attract and retain young local talent,” concluded Zainab.
