The inauguration and ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah. Accor’s newest offering is in line with Shaikh Hamad’s desire to promote and develop the emirate.

The property, built by Fujairah National Group, is located on Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Street in the heart of Fujairah’s commercial business district. It is a few minutes away from the city centre and seaside walk, allowing its guests convenient access to these locations.

“The UAE is currently witnessing an urban and cultural revival, complemented by the remarkable growth of the business, hospitality and infrastructure sectors,” Shaikh Saleh bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Department of Industry and Economy, said in a statement.

“Fujairah’s vast natural attractions and its unique location between the mountains in the east coast have contributed significantly in making the emirate a prime tourist destination.”

Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sharqi, Vice-President of Fujairah National Group, said that the Government of Fujairah continues to support and encourage various investment and tourism projects, aimed at developing the emirate to keep up with the pace of rapid development of all sectors being witnessed in the UAE. Overlooking the Gulf of Oman, Fujairah’s prime location, he added, has created a new dimension for the emirate to rapidly achieve greater prosperity and growth. Dr Shaikh Mohammed added that this new project complements several other economic, investment and tourism projects undertaken by the group.

General manager Karim Zaki said that the hotel chain of Novotel, Ibis and Adagio Fujairah, with its world-class services, would make it the best option for guests. He added that given its strategic location, these new hotels could soon become tourist landmarks in the city.

The four-star Novotel Fujairah offers 182 keys, 113 of which are luxury double rooms. It also boasts a ballroom that can accommodate up to 1,200 persons.

The Ibis hotel has 180 modern rooms, while the Adagio hotel has 72 studios that are fully-equipped.
