From a luxury lounge debut and a winter chalet escape to community runs, poolside parties and a festive caviar burger, here’s what to add to your Dubai weekend plans

Whether you’re in the mood to unwind in a brand-new luxury lounge, move with the city’s fitness crowd, or lean into the festive spirit with food, fashion and music, Dubai’s weekend calendar is stacked with experiences worth stepping out for. From immersive pop-ups and limited-edition bites to beachfront activations and sun-soaked pool parties, here’s a curated round-up of things to do in the city this weekend that balance indulgence, community and seasonal cheer.
Take part in a community run
ASICS and SALT are teaming up for a community-focused beachfront activation at Kite Beach, turning SALT’s three locations along the 7.5km stretch into one connected fitness and lifestyle journey. Designed to encourage movement, connection, and healthier routines, the experience brings together runners, families, and beachgoers, culminating at the flagship SALT for the main ASICS | SALT event and a marathon warm-up session. The activation takes place on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 4pm to 8pm, with registration available via @asicsme on Instagram.
Try the TIMELESS luxury lounge

Dubai’s newest luxury lounge, TIMELESS, has opened at Meera Tower in Al Habtoor City, offering a refined space designed for relaxed socialising beyond home and work. Founded by Andrey Ryzhov and Dmitriy Parygin, the venue blends futuristic elegance with desert-inspired minimalism across thoughtfully zoned indoor lounges and a serene terrace, ensuring privacy and comfort throughout. Standout features include personalised five-star service powered by in-house technology, and an elevated approach to shisha with over 200 bespoke blends crafted as layered sensory experiences. The beverage menu matches this creativity with house-made infusions and signature drinks, while curated music, games, and an unhurried atmosphere make it ideal for lingering afternoons or late-night unwinding. Open daily from 12pm to 3am.
A winter chalet escape

City Centre Mirdif is ushering in the festive season with The Glowland by City Centre, a limited-edition winter chalet–inspired pop-up running from December 17 to 28. Designed as a cosy, gold-lit alpine escape in the heart of the mall, the immersive experience features snow-dusted trees, sparkling décor, a winter photobooth, a personalised charms bar, a claw machine with gifts, a life-size advent calendar, creative workshops, and festive surprises throughout. The pop-up also hosts exclusive fashion and beauty masterclasses led by regional creators and industry experts, including sessions with Sarah Mohammed for Charlotte Tilbury, Fatema Al Awadhi with Giorgio Armani, and Lama Jamal with Lime, with more experiences to be announced. Blending festive spectacle with hands-on experiences, The Glowland offers visitors of all ages a stylish way to soak in the holiday spirit without leaving the city.
Try a festive Caviar Smash Burger

Paris-born viral favourite Junk Smash Burgers is adding a dose of indulgence to Dubai’s festive season with the launch of its limited-edition Caviar Smash Burger, available from December 20 to January 5 at its 25 Jump Street location. Priced at AED 99, the burger layers two smashed patties with melted cheese, a crispy hash brown, and a crème fraîche and lemon sauce, topped with premium caviar sourced from Cut Caviar. Blending street-food comfort with a luxe Dubai twist, the festive drop reflects Junk’s signature simplicity while pushing boundaries for the holidays.
Poolside beats with DJ Hartley

The WET Deck Winter Series at W Dubai – The Palm continues on December 21 with a sun-soaked pool party headlined by DJ Hartley. Sign up for basketball training

TwentyFour Basketball Academy is redefining youth basketball development in the UAE with the launch of a holistic training programme that nurtures young athletes both on and off the court. Founded in 2024 by lifelong UAE resident Issam and two of his former players, the academy integrates technical skill development with fitness, nutrition and mental preparation, supporting players from as young as four years old through to pathways for university scholarships and professional opportunities abroad. Operating seven days a week at Meydan Nad Al Sheba, the academy has already built an impressive competitive record, including recent U19 league championships, national team selections, and international podium finishes. Programme resumes January 9, 2026.
