Saving electricity

This has reference to the water department's notification 'Set your air-conditioner to 24c'(KT, August 18).

I would like to draw the attention of the authorities concerned towards various mosques where the thermostat is kept at the lowest — even below 20 degree Celsius, which will not only increase the electricity bill but also play havoc with the health of worshipers, especially old-age people.

This needs to be looked into and rectified.
