Think Bond. Not shaken or stirred, but bronze-gold and Burgundy – Omega’s new release this year, inspired by its iconic James Bond watch, the Seamster Diver 300M Bronze Gold and Burgundy, comes in two models.
As is well known, the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M 007 edition is the British secret agent’s standard-issue tool of choice for not just time keeping in accordance with the quintessential British sense of punctuality, but also for his daring escapades.
With the redoubtable Q from MI5’s research and development division coming up with fantastical iterations of the watch – equipped with everything from laser beam cutters to concealed incendiary detonators – the contemporary James Bond has become inseparable from the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M, and in the process raised the watch to near-legendary status.
But beneath the gimmickry, the watch itself remains very much a piece of horological art – or an entry point to it at any rate, if you go by the gatekeepers of haute horology. With Omega’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806 ticking away at its heart, complete with a Master Chronometer Certification from the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) guaranteeing its precision, performance, robustness and magnetic resistance, the Seamaster Diver 300M remains very much an Omega.
While the Seamster Diver 300M was always a popular watch series for Omega and has been synonymous with James Bond since ‘Goldeneye’ in 1995, the latest 007 Edition was launched in the 2020 film ‘No Time to Die.’ And the two models of this 2025 Bronze Gold and Burgundy release are inspired by that very same model, that adorned Daniel Craig’s wrist as he sought to save King and country, along with democracy and Western civilisation, from the evil designs of Spectre.
The inspiration from the watch’s 007 edition is clearly visible in features on this special release, such as the mesh bracelet, the oxalic anodised aluminium bezel ring and dial, and the domed sapphire crystal, which carry over from the 007 watch as homages to its design.
As the name implies, the case of the new Seamaster Diver 300M models offer water resistance of 30 bar or 300 metres and is made from Bronze Gold, which Omega says is its one-of-a-kind alloy, enriched with noble elements such as 37.5 per cent gold, hallmarked as 9K, as well as palladium and silver. The material offers high corrosion resistance without verdigris-oxidation, therefore aging slowly and retaining its natural and beautiful patina over a longer period of time.
The alloy sparkles in the watch’s 42mm case, and its golden patina is set off by the deep burgundy red of the anodised aluminium bezel ring, which features a diver’s scale made of Vintage Super-LumiNova. The domed sapphire crystal over the dial adds to the vintagey vibe.

Speaking of the movement, the Omega Master Co-Axial Calibre 8806 that keeps time in the new Seamaster Diver 300M models is an automatic movement beating at a frequency of 25,200 A/h (3.5 Hz). Offering a power reserve of 55 hours, it is equipped with Omega’s Co-Axial escapement, which reduces friction and wear and tear. A silicon balance spring ensures high magnetic resistance. As we have come to expect from Omega, the movement is certified as a Master Chronometer by METAS, placing it among the most precise and reliable movements anywhere.
The dial is the main attraction in any watch, and in this new release, it is a captivating combination of matte black-toned, sandblasted aluminium, enhanced by PVD 18K Bronze Gold hands and blackened indexes, all filled with vintage Super-LumiNova that provides good legibility in low-light conditions. With the other markings, including the OMEGA logo and name, transferred to the dial in light brown, the contrast of the bronzed elements and the deep black of the dial makes for a striking yet sophisticated look.
The difference in the two variants released appears around the wrist, where wearers can choose between a version on a brushed Bronze Gold mesh Milanaise bracelet on a foldover clasp, or alternatively on an integrated black rubber strap with a Bronze Gold buckle. While the latter is the sportier option, fitting the function of a dive watch more aptly, it’s the former that perfectly rounds off the watch’s design.
Priced at Dh111,700, the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Bronze Gold and Burgundy continues to ooze sartorial elegance, whether you’re a spy or a gentleman. We’re sure Q would approve.
