Ras Al Khaimah Ruler Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member, has issued a law on preventive measures for infectious diseases in public health establishments.
Law No. 4 of 2026 is designed to bolster the emirate’s health system, improve preparedness, and ensure adherence to established health standards.
The law introduces a clear regulatory framework to reduce the risk of infectious diseases in public health facilities, outlining requirements for health monitoring, medical testing, and regular inspections to support safe working environments and protect public health.
The law gives the Public Health and Safety Department at Ras Al Khaimah Municipality the authority to implement it. The department can oversee compliance, issue occupational health certificates, and take necessary actions according to the regulations.
