She talks about what Christmas means to her and her biggest inspirations

Farhana Bodi, star of Dubai Bling and a successful entrepreneur, speaks at length about why Christmas holds a special place in her heart, her reflections of the past year, in addition to giving a peek into her goals for the year ahead.
Edited excerpts from an interview:
What does Christmas mean to you, and how do you like to celebrate this special time of the year?
Christmas, for me, is about warmth, gratitude and togetherness. It’s a time to slow down, reflect and be with loved ones. I enjoy celebrating it in an intimate way with good food, meaningful conversations and creating special memories, especially with my son. It’s less about extravagance and more about heartfelt moments. Right now, I am enjoying the festive vibes in Paris with my son.

Looking back this year, what are some of the most significant lessons you’ve learned, and how have they impacted your life and career?
This year taught me the power of resilience and self-belief. I learned that growth often comes from uncomfortable moments, and that staying true to your values is more important than pleasing everyone. Professionally, it pushed me to be more intentional—choosing projects that align with my vision rather than just momentum.
As we approach the New Year, what are your top resolutions and goals, and how do you plan to achieve them?
My biggest goal is balance—expanding my brands and creative projects while protecting my peace and personal time. I want to build with purpose, not pressure. Achieving this means being disciplined with my time, trusting my intuition, and surrounding myself with people who support my journey.
How do you think people can make the most of this festive season, and spread joy and kindness to those around them?
Sometimes, the smallest gestures make the biggest difference. A kind word, checking in on someone, giving your time, or simply listening—these acts matter. The festive season is a reminder that kindness doesn’t need a reason or a season; it just needs intention.
This year has been a time for reflection and growth for many of us. What are you most grateful for, and how has it shaped your perspective on life?
I’m most grateful for health, family, and the strength to keep going even when things felt heavy. It reminded me that success means nothing without inner peace. Gratitude has shifted my perspective—I now celebrate progress, not perfection.
Who are some people or experiences that have inspired you the most this year?
My son continues to be my biggest inspiration—his resilience, growth and innocence ground me every day. I’ve also been inspired by women who show up unapologetically for themselves, build quietly, and redefine success on their own terms.
What are you looking forward to in the
coming year?
I’m excited about expanding my fashion and lifestyle ventures and exploring new creative collaborations. The coming year feels aligned and intentional—less noise, more impact.
What’s your favourite way to relax and unwind during holiday time?
I love slow mornings, wellness rituals, travel, and disconnecting from the noise. A beautiful hotel, a quiet walk, or time spent journaling helps me reset and recharge.
What advice would you give to those who are struggling to find joy or hope during this time?
Be gentle with yourself. You don’t have to have everything figured out. Trust that even the quiet seasons are preparing you for something bigger. Your journey is valid, and better days are always ahead.
