After having binge-watched the latest, hugely popular show, Emily in Paris, on Netflix, we too, just like you were craving a taste of Paris, and that's what took us to La Serre Bistro & Boulangerie, Vida Downtown, Dubai. Whilst the menu offers a range of breakfast items, smitten by the show, we were influenced by the delicacies in the show! See if you can recall them from the show too.

Pain au chocolat: In the very first episode, Emily, experiences her the delectable combination of butter meets chocolate, and so did we. Let the flakes fall over as you take a bite of this freshly baked, soft and rather large pain au chocolat.

Omelette with organic eggs: As we indulged in this fluffy medium-cooked omelette filled up with mushrooms and onion, which by the way came in the pan, we kept wondering what would happen to Gabriel and Emily in season two of the show. Yes, Emily does get to keep the pan, though. The sprinkling of herbs atop our omelette was a perfect green touch. You could opt-in for other fillings like Emmental cheese, tomato, salmon and bacon.

Crêpe, Berries, Chantilly: Emily tells Mathieu Cadault, who becomes a love interest in due course, how everyone in Paris has their favourite Crêpe place, was our motivation to go on in for this delicacy, which came filled with cream, topped with strawberries, blueberries and blackberries and a sprinkling of icing sugar. FYI, Chantilly is the synonym for whipped cream. We could have this light and thin crêpe for dinner as well.

Café Latté: For what's a meal, a day and life without a cup of coffee! For some, it is merely a coffee drink made with espresso and steamed milk, for us it is the magic potion, which reminds us of the view outside the window in Paris. The soft silky foam on our mug was just what we needed for breakfast.

Paris Is Her: Oh, come one, we had to order this refreshing tea with hints of raspberry before we left. I did pour myself two cups of it and travelled to the streets of Paris, for a while.
En attendant, on voyage à Paris, on peut toujours manger de la cuisine française, non? (Until, we travel to Paris, we can always eat French food, right?)
