Women, yesterday
and today

The woman of today may be a lot more career-oriented and well-qualified, but there are certain things that have not changed. The place of every woman is her home and her role has always been that of a caretaker and a homemaker.

A woman is expected to multi-task; she looks after her home and family, and many a time she has a career, too. The responsibility of bringing up children lay on the shoulders of a woman. Centuries have gone by but our perception of a woman has remained
the same.

We may not so often see or hear about infant girls being buried alive in today’s modern world. But such cases still exist. We come across cases of women being disrespected and ill-treated almost every day. Domestic violence and abuse of women are still rampant.

But, most women continue to strive hard to maintain a balance between their professional life and personal life. And they continue to sacrifice for the sake of their loved ones.

But remember, every woman is a blessing to this world. She has great strength and stamina that helps her and those around her live. I am proud to be a woman and I salute the rest of them for making this world a beautiful place.
