Why should school fee be raised?

Although it was very heartening to note that majority of the educational institutions have been able to get the best rating (thanks to the KHDA efforts) yet it is equally disturbing to read that these institutions will be allowed by the authorities concerned to increase the monthly/annual fee as per the criteria set by the authority.

This will definitely be bad news for the parents, particularly, with low income as their children might not be able to continue their studies in these schools due to increase in fee/funds.

One thing is really not understandable that why fee increase has been linked with the overall rating of the school because after completion of construction works, schools have to meet monthly recurring expenditures which are manageable through the prevalent fee structure.

Are they going to offer some extra educational facilities or some kind of incentive for the students and teachers or it all will go to the school’s management?

Anyhow, I have a very humble suggestion for the KHDA that these schools should be made responsible to offer substantial fee concession, particularly for those students who can’t afford to pay the increased school’s fee.
