Try files instead of textbooks to reduce weight of school bags

There is one simple and effective way to reduce the weight of school bags, which is a huge concern for all students and their parents these days (Why are kids' school bags heavy in the digital era, parents in UAE ask; KT, August 27). I suggest, all the chapters in the text books be on separate papers and the text books be like a file holding all these papers. Every week, teachers could inform parents about the chapters they are planning to cover in that week. Parents can then remove just those papers from the text book file, staple it or pin it along with the notebook and send it to school. If this is done for all subjects surely the weight of school bags can be drastically reduced.
