Tolerance should be the bedrock of all societies

I was proud and happy to be in Abu Dhabi to witness the UAE become the 'global capital of tolerance'.
The visit of the pope and his words 'disarm human hearts' remind us that tolerance is key to harmonious and peaceful living.
All communities need to learn and practice tolerance and make it a way of life; future generations will thank us for that.
I have been in the UAE for about three decades, and this is my first home.
Thanks to the great leaders of this great nation for accommodating and nurturing us to be true residents of this nation.
The UAE of today is a realisation of the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, father of the nation.
I pray that the country progresses further and stays true to its founding principles. God bless this nation. Thank you, leaders, once again for the initiative of tolerance.
