The write-up: Stay simple and contented in 2018 (KT, Dec. 27) made for an excellent read. For most of us, the end of a year is not just about partying and having a great time with family and friends, but also a time to evaluate the things we have done during the year and also think for what should be changed in the next. Spending less time on gadgets and more with family, exercising diligently, saving more and spending less, handling weighty issues, putting in best efforts to scale the rungs at the workplace, quitting bad habits such as smoking and enjoying life to the fullest are some of the most common resolutions that most people make. But majority of us fail to keep them. It is difficult to accomplish so many resolutions. Either they are forgotten or people tend to give up in the mid-way through.
Making one resolution, not waiting until the New Year Eve to set a goal, not following others and taking time-based steps to fulfil the aim may work. As the writer said: Simplicity and contentment are the best keys to lead life in a better way. I couldn't be more precise than this.
