I live in Bur Dubai and my work place is in Jebal Ali. Nowadays, I have been travelling via Metro from Bur Dubai to Jebel Ali.

I had to take a RTA Bus from my work place to the Jebal Ali Metro station. I was really shocked to find there were no sheltered areas at the bus stops. There isn’t even a shelter to provide shade for the hapless commuters. Just imagine the horrid scenario: In the scorching heat at 15:00 pm in the afternoon, commuters have no choice but to stand in the sun, for as long as half an hour at a stretch. It was really a very sad state to see ladies and some elderly men standing under the heat, with no shelter.

I humbly request the RTA officials to kindly look into this matter. It would be great if the RTA organises sheltered bus stops in Jebel Ali.
