Residents need more support

A number of companies are asking their employees to take unpaid leaves and stay at home. I understand times are hard, and businesses are also finding it hard to cope with unprecedented circumstances, but how would a family survive without salary? Companies should help and support the staff as part of the family and make for provisions to at least cover the basic expenses.
Some support from the government could also help. Perhaps something like an unemployment allowance can help families tide over. This effort by the government would be much appreciated and set an example.
