Reconsider changes to Indian passport

For non-resident Indians, a passport is the only document to show proof of their home address, and pertinent details like the names of the father, mother or spouse. It comes in handy when applying for visas to other countries.
The government's decision to stop giving all this information on the last page of passport will create a lot of issues for NRIs in the long run.
I strongly feel the government should not implement the decision. Also, it is not fair to segregate citizens on the basis of their education.
The proposal says, those who have not passed SSLC - those in ECR category - will have an orange passport. I have seen many ECR category people earning better salaries than those who have better qualifications.
Segregating citizens this way is not acceptable. On behalf of Pravasi Bandhu Welfare Trust, I request the government of India not to implement both changes in the passport.
