Al Nahda Pond Park is one of the best parks in Dubai. It has excellent landscaping complemented with a wonderful selection of trees. Thanks to the Dubai Municipality for creating and maintaining it. Even though I live in Al Qusais 1, I visit the park every day in the morning. One hour spent there is quite refreshing and charges me for the day ahead. I have few suggestions to make. Parking, for one, is an issue. It is difficult to find parking in the morning in front of the main entrance. The space is filled with parked taxis. The other side of the park facing Doha Street has enough space but has no entrance to the park. Opening doors from Doha street could help resolve the issue.
Secondly, visitors to the park or Zulekha Hospital have to drive extra 2kms to make a U-turn to arrive at their destinations. If U-turn is allowed at the Haleb street signal, it will save time and fuel. Lastly, I feel free parking time should be extended a little beyond 8am for all parking spaces around parks. It could encourage people to use it more and become healthy.
