Most accidents happen because of human error

I have been following the news and comments on minibuses and would like to add that the vehicles are not the issue here (It's not easy to handle a minibus on UAE roads, say drivers, KT, Oct 1). I believe that drivers' attitude and driving manners are the most important. Many drivers rely on the brakes system and engine power and they push them to the limit just to be ahead by a few metres. Others speed on the street to show off and become abusive and arrogant.
Most accidents happen because of human error. I suggest that an evaluation of drivers (old and new) is necessary to determine if he or she is worthy to have a licence and drive on the UAE roads. Awareness trainings and seminars should be conducted by traffic authorities.
