Mistreated Indian in the US

I was annoyed to read the news item related to the humiliating experience confronted by Indian diplomat in the US, Devyani Khobragade.

She was arrested and strip-searched and then even subjected to cavity search. She was treated like a common criminal by the US marshals.

Now the US Secretary of State John Kerry has regretted the handling of Indian diplomat’s arrest. Indians may forget the disgusting and humiliating investigation encountered by Khobragade, the deputy consul general in New York, because we have the habit of ignoring any type of insult or humiliation from foreign countries, particularly from the US and Britain.

Mr Barack Obama when we were listening to your ‘vote for change’ slogan at the time of your election campaign, we Indians never expected the word ‘change’ also implies insult and humiliate other nations.
